Jeremiah and Grace, Saturday 26th of March 2011

Jeremiah and Grace celebrated their wedding onboard the Sydney Glass Island vessel with 145 family and friends on Saturday the 26th of March 2011.

Upon boarding the bridal couple and their guests were welcomed by the sound of smooth soul jazz coming from the top deck of the vessel. The bridal couple and guests enjoyed pre dinner drinks and a selection of cocktails including Oven Baked Vegetable Spring Rolls w/ Sweet Chilli & Coriander, Tandoori Chicken Skewers w/ Mint Riata and Thai Fish Cakes w/ Cucumber Relish (replacing canapés) on the top deck whilst the sax player, Gary serenaded the party as the sun set.

Jeremiah, Grace and their party then proceed to the main level of the vessel to enjoy platters of fresh seafood including Sydney Rock Oysters and King Prawns as they settled at their tables. This was followed by a formal entree of Traditional Sicilian Cannelloni w / Tomato Sauce & a Veal Mince & Mushroom Filling (pictured below) or Pumpkin & Rosemary Risotto Cakes Served on a Bed of Rocket w/ Garlic Aioli. Followed by a main of Eye Fillet of Beef w/ Caramelized Onion, Mushrooms & Garlic Potato Gratin Accompanied w/ Carrots or Roast Garlic or Pepper Chicken on Kumara Mash Accompanied w/ Green Beans. The meal was finished with a formal dessert of alternating Mixed Berry Pavlova with Vanilla Anglaise or chocolate fudge and marble mud wedding cake w/ fresh cream and strawberries (dessert slice) accompanied with freshly percolated coffee, a selection of tea’s and after dinner chocolates.

Jeremiah and Grace opted for a regal purple theme for their special day, the theme was infused through the vessel with fresh flowers and elegant touches. The bridal table and guest tables were decorated with white and purple orchid arrangements, the theme was also carried to the top deck of the vessel which featured arrangements on the 6 round wooden tables. The napkins were tied with purple ribbon and a fresh purple orchid adorned each place setting, each guest also received a delectable chocolate Lindt macaroon with place card attached as a treat to take home. The look was completed with the ivory bridal table flounce, ceiling flounce with fairy lights, table menus and a 3 tier wedding cake finished with white piping and fresh orchids.

(Grace used the Sydney Glass Island brandy vases on the guest tables and square vases for the top deck).

The guests were able to help the bride and groom create and capture the fun and memories with a photo booth onboard.
