Martin and Florence celebrated their wedding onboard the Sydney Glass Island vessel with 157 family and friends on Saturday the 18th of December 2010.
After enjoying a stolen romantic moment on the water limousine, Martin and Florence were welcomed aboard the Sydney Glass Island by their awaiting guests who had boarded at Man O War wharf prior to the bride and grooms arrival. The bridal couple and their guests then enjoyed a selection of canapés (pictured below) and pre dinner drinks together on the top deck of the vessel as the sun went down.
Martin, Florence and their party then proceed to the main level of the vessel for a formal entree of Butterflied Prawns on Mesculan Leaves w/ a Chilli Lime Dressing & Vinaigrette (pictured below) or Pumpkin & Rosemary Risotto Cakes Served on a Bed of Rocket w/ Garlic Aioli. Followed by a main of Eye Fillet of Beef w/ Caramelized Onion, Mushrooms & Garlic Potato Gratin Accompanied w/ Carrots or Salmon on a Bed of Roasted Garlic w/ Kumara Mash Accompanied w/ Green Beans. The meal was finished with a formal dessert of Passionfruit Panacotta w/ Mango Sauce or Summer Berry Pudding w/ Fresh Raspberry Coulis. Later in the evening the guests were treated to chocolate mud, white mud and mango coconut wedding cake with fresh strawberries and cream, freshly percolated coffee, a selection of tea’s and after dinner chocolates.
Martin and Florence’s perfect pastal theme was created using shades of lilac and ivory. The bridal table was adorned with a large bridal table arrangement and two podium arragements either side of the bridal table consisting of lilac and ivory roses. The guest tables were decorated with black wrought iron candelabras wrapped with fresh ivy and tea lights on the table. To take home the guest recieved a gift, for the ladies a crystal perfume bottle and for the gentlemen a crystal bottle stopper. The look was completed with fitted white chair covers finished with lilac organza sashes, ivory bridal table flounce, ceiling flounce with fairy lights, table menus, parquet dance floor and a 3 tier white wedding cake trimmed with lilac ribbon and iced lilac roses.
